Cranberry Cobbler

Serves 6. Nutrition per serving: Calories - 248, Protein - 3g, Carbohydrates - 66g, Fat - 5.5g, Cholesterol - 14mg
1 bag cranberries (12 oz. bag, fresh)
2 large oranges (peeled and diced)
2 large apples (peeled and diced)
¾ C sugar
2 T cornstarch
½ C water
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cardamom
1 C flour (scant cup)
2 T sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
2½ T butter
½ C buttermilk
Mix sugar with cornstarch and sprinkle over fruit in a saucepan.  Add water, vanilla and cardamom.  Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes.  Divide evenly in 9 ramekins or a 9" x 9" pan.  For stars, mix dry ingredients with butter in a food processor until crumbly.  Add buttermilk and mix briefly.  Roll dough on floured surface and cut in shapes.  Sprinkle with sugar (optional) and arrange on fruit.  Bake for 20 minutes at 400°.
