Jalapeño Cornbread
Serves 9. Nutrition per serving: Calories - 185, Protein - 8g, Carbohydrates - 31g, Fat - 4g, Cholesterol - 75mg
Ingredients: |
1 C flour
1 C cornmeal
2 T sugar
1/3 C parmesan cheese (fresh grated)
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt |
3 eggs
½ C buttermilk
½ C skim milk
1/4 C butter (melted)
2 red chilies (fresh chopped)
1/4 C cilantro (fresh chopped) |
Mix dry and liquid ingredients seperately. Blend mixtures together and fold into a buttered 9" x 9" square pan. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes. |
