Country Lentil Soup

Serves 8. Nutrition per serving: Calories - 97, Protein - 7.4g, Carbohydrates - 20g, Fat - .75g, Cholesterol - 0mg
1 C. dry lentils 2 lg. carrots, chopped
5 C. water 1 t. dried oregano
1 T. dry onion flakes 1 15-oz. can white beans
4 bouillon cubes, any flavor 1 green onion, sliced

In a large pot, bring water to a boil with bouillon cubes, onion flakes, and oregano. Add lentils and carrots. Simmer gently with the lid tilted for 15 to 20 minutes, until desired texture is achieved. Add white beans, liquid and all, and heat through. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
