French Toast Waffle

Ingredients: |
Waffle Toast |
12 slices whole wheat bread |
1/3 C. skim milk |
1 egg, beaten |
¼ t. salt |
4 egg whites, beaten |
½ t. cinnamon |
¾ T. lowfat margarine per slice of bread |
Dutch Honey |
½ C. sugar |
6 oz. evaporated skim milk |
½ C. corn syrup |
1 t. vanilla |
Spray heated waffle iron with nonfat cooking spray. Spread both sides of bread with margarine. Blend eggs, milk, and salt. Dip bread in mixture, put in waffle iron, and cook until done. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan and stir over high heat until it boils. Remove from heat; add milk. Serve over waffle toast.
